Though previous years of data on existing home sales in the U.S. were revised down, the latest increase in November suggests the residential housing market is in recovery.

New EU Efficiency Labels

Energy efficiency labels alphabetically rating TVs from ‘A’ (most efficient) to ‘G’ (least efficient) must be displayed on all new TV sets from the end of 2011. The graphic below defines 11 different efficiency labels.

Comparing the Koreas – Graphics of the Day

In another double dose of graphics, today we look at the comparison between North and South Korea. This first graphic looks at a number of key metrics like life expectancy, exports, and more. Notice just how far South Korea is ahead in some of the most basic functions of a country. The second graphic focuses solely on the military of each country and how they differ in size and strength. Although North Korea severely lacks in things like mobile phone subscribers, budget and roads, it’s military is nearly double the size of South Korea’s military.

Hero Award Donations Presented

The Risk, Fraud and Investigations (RFI) business of Thomson Reuters recently presented three $10,000 donations to charities on behalf of customers whose compelling success stories using RFI public records search products made them the recipients of the first-ever Hero Award. The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children and the Veterans Village of San Diego were the charities chosen by the winning customers.
